Royal Jordanian airlines cancellation policy and it’s process

Royal Jordanian cancellation policy 

• Royal Jordanian airlines has a 24 hours risk free period to cancel their booking. It means passengers can cancel their ticket within 24 hours from the time of booking. 
• Tickets should be bought with the official Royal Jordanian official website or by calling the reservation department of the airlines.
• If passengers cancel their booking in a risk free period then he/ she doesn’t have to pay any amount for cancellation.
• But the most important point to follow is to cancel the ticket at least 7 days prior to the date of departure from the time of booking. 
• If a passenger is successful in these two points then he/ she will get a full refund of their booking.
• But if a passenger fails to do so then they have to pay the cancellation charges depending on the type and time of the flight cancellation.
• Cancellation fee can be between 100$ to 500 $
• If the cancellations are from the airline's end due to issues at the airport or any aircraft problem or anything related to them then passengers are likely to get the full amount refunded for their cancellation.
• Same guidelines are followed with non-refundable tickets.

What is a 24 hours cancellation policy? 

Well the only point to understand in this term is that a passenger can be refunded with full amount on their cancellation within 24 hours(1 day) of  booking a ticket. And cancellation should also be more than a week before the flight's departure date. 

Nothing more to prick you in this term. If the conditions are exceeding the time limit of cancellation then the passenger needs to pay cancellation fee. 

What is the cancellation fee? 

It really depends on the type of flight, destination,time, domestic or an international flight. It may vary between $100 to $ 500.

Passengers need to contact airlines customer support for detailed information on cancellation fee. 

Passengers will not get any refund Except government taxes after the risk free period of 24 hours of cancellation. 

The Process of cancelling Royal Jordanian airlines flight- 

Via Online

• Go to its ‘official website’ 
• log in to your account
• Now click ‘manage booking’
• Here you need to enter your PRN ( reservation number) and last name and hit the ‘search’ button.
• Now you can access all your bookings and itinerary, select the one you want to make changes to.
• Now tap of cancel reservation button 
• Now again it will ask to provide some more info regarding your booking, after completing it hit the ‘cancel reservation’ button to cancel it completely. 
• Now you will get a confirmation email on your registered email Id. It is advisable to check it immediately to confirm whether the changes you made are Correct or not. 

Via phone 

You can start it by calling 1-805-576-8081 and a professional will assist you, tell him/ her about your issue and they may ask you details regarding your booking for which you should keep all your documents handy. Please follow his instructions to get it through. 

After cancelling you will get a confirmation email on your email Id. 

At the airport 

Approach the air airport for face to face cancellation. At the Royal Jordanian counter ask the help desk to cancel your flight, you need to share your details regarding your booking so please carry documents accordingly. 

When can I claim a refund for the Royal Jordanian cancellation? 

If your flight is delayed or canceled from the airlines then you would definitely get a refund of the ticket.  

If your flight is delayed more than 3 hours and any cancellation which was issued less than 14 days before the date of departure. Then Under the law of  EC261 which protects rights of the passengers will provide an amount upto $ 700.

• It will not cover stickers or any extraordinary circumstances for compensation. 
• If airlines are providing you with a substitute flight which will land you to your booked arrival timings to your destination then they are not likely to pay any refund.
